Buying or selling used items protects of our environment. These products are already in the market and used by folks, so there is no need for new products with their associated environmental footprint.
It has become more difficult to give away items we no longer need with the guarantee that someone in need will reuse it. On the contrary it is more convenient to:
– purchase brand new products
– donate to large organizations, while losing power over where our belongings go, or
– dispose of used products
The concept of FairTriad, also considered the “Kijiji of charities,” addresses these challenges in a unique way. Our platform allows consumers and donors to trade items such as electronics, furniture, clothing, and home appliances, in return for a charitable cash donation towards a registered charity.
As a donor, the items you sell will essentially be turned into a charitable cash donation for your charity of choice. In return, donors will receive a tax receipt, and consumers will be able to access affordable items.
Now we need your help to grow our organization. We are currently partnered with a number of local charities including; Action Against Hunger, Escarpment Biosphere Conservancy, Quality Camp Canada and Stella’s Place.
Your donation will help us promote our concept, reach a wider audience, develop an easy-to-use mobile application, and of course provide a solution to the unsustainable consumption patterns that we are all trapped in.
Please donate today to allow us to enhance, promote and grow this platform.
