Our Mission

Small Change Fund acts as a catalyst for individuals and grassroots organizations to improve the environment, reduce poverty, and promote reconciliation efforts by working with Indigenous Peoples to support the protection of their lands, waters and communities. We stand with those on the ground, recognizing that the people closest to the challenges are often the ones with the knowledge and solutions to create lasting change.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHT

Organizing Transit Users

We are helping our partners TTCriders organize transit users for better, more affordable transit across Ontario. Public transit has the power to reduce traffic congestion, improve air quality, and help slow climate change – for all of us. And when public transit is reliable, fast and affordable, more people will make the switch! TTCriders have set up a Municipal Election Dashboard to help Torontonians advocate for better public transit this fall – check it out here.

TESTIMONIALS

I give to Small Change Fund because I can trust them. I appreciate the energy and passion in their shared projects with partners across the country, and their creativity. They make a big difference to so many causes that are precious to us.

Rochelle Rubinstein, Donor

I’m so grateful for Small Change Fund supporting our documentary, Plastic People: The Hidden Crisis of Microplastics, so we could expose the microplastics in our bodies and work on reducing plastic pollution globally. This affects literally everyone, and Small Change Fund is helping us reach them. Their support was crucial.

Ziya Tong, Co-Director & Science Journalist

Small Change Fund helped us stand up for our local democracy and protect Stratford’s farmland, groundwater and air quality. With their help we won our campaign!
